Why LARP in the PNW?

LARPing in the PNW is a unique experience to try your hand at a ton of different ideas and games without having to travel across the country! We have high-fantasy games, low-fantasy games, games about other worlds, games about our world in the future, everything you could ever hope for and more! We also have a plethora of sites willing to take LARPs, including a site that is dedicated to LARPs exclusively. Below are some links to local LARPs and information about them. Join one or two if you wish!

  • Refuge Portland - A serial high-fantasy LARP with two campaigns: a low-level gritty LARP where death is a really painful and common experience, and a non-level-capped campaign where PCs are struggling to save the world from an extra-planar being that wishes death upon the entire world.
  • Refuge Seattle - A serial high-fantasy LARP that's part of the Refuge umbrella. These games share a common system and encourage travel between chapters.
  • Refuge Boise - A serial high-fantasy LARP that's part of the Refuge umbrella. These games share a common system and encourage travel between chapters.
  • Shadow Accord - A low-fantasy game with elements drawn from White Wolf settings. Set in the dark/middle ages, this game brings together werewolves, vampires, humans, spirits and more in a gritty, dramatic game.
  • SPITE - A LARP set in near-future Earth, where aliens known as the Drominae have invaded and sent the Earth spiralling into a war. Featuring aliens, modern "weaponry" and garb, and a great deal of science, this LARP has been described as "Starship Troopers, the LARP" by its creators. Coming up on its final game, get in quick before it's gone!
  • The Galaxy Awaits - Set in the cannon universe of Star Wars, this LARP takes place after Episode III, and before Episode IV. The LARP is highly spoken of, and the costuming is out of this world!
  • The World of Oz - A dark steampunk look at the world of Oz, complete with evil witches, tin soldiers, and flying monkeys. This LARP expands on the world of Oz, drawing on cannon from other sources, and creating some of its own along the way. A highly enjoyable time for all involved!
  • Archaea Unbound - This LARP hasn't even run a game yet and is still well-talked-about in the local circles. A high-fantasy game played between Seattle and Portland, the game has everything from pirates and merfolk to demons and wizards. Check it out if you're looking for something fun and unique.
  • Call of the Void - A LARP set in a world where pioneer-type-people wandered into uncharted territory and are set upon by the occult as they look for a home. Another game that has not yet run a game, this is another highly-anticipated serial LARP due to release soon.
